5 Track You Need In Your Life This Week

The playlist for this week, featuring 5 bangers you need in your life right now was inspired mostly by the weekend. I had an awesome time catching up with my #DayOnes (which is why you’ll see Kwesta’s ‘Day One’ on the top of the list), sourcing and creating some great fashion content for the blog and just basically feeling great about life in general.

Here goes, this week’s selection in no particular order:

  1. Kwesta feat AKA and Tweezy – Day One

This song perfectly sums up my weekend which I spent with my day ones, just having a blast. Kwesta is really one of those rappers who are bringing it this year, this song is way too lit!

2. Fat Joe, Remy Ma, JAY Z- All The Way Up (remix)

Actually this might just be one of the most important songs of the year as it features Rap God, Jay Z *with a full-verse*. It seems HOV still wanted to address all those #Lemonade theories with these lines “You know you made it when the fact / Your marriage made it is worth millions /Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is,.“I’m just glad that Joe and Remy Ma revived Jay and made this remix.

3. Erykah Badu – Trill Friends

I f$&*n love Erykah Badu! And this rendition of Kanye’s Real Friends is just on another lever. This song was also inspired by the weekend well spent with days ones and just appreciating the time spent with people who REALLY care for you, not all those trill, shady and fake people we meet along the walks of life. Give it a listen HERE!

4. Kanye West – Famous

Love. Love.Love this song! I know the video has caused quiet a noise on the interwebs, which I personally don’t get because we all should know by now that Kanye’s ‘middle name’ is Controversy. He’s got Donald Trump sharing a bed with Mrs West, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Amber Rose and Chris Brown. Peep the full video below.

5. Sliqe feat Riky Rick, Kwesta, Reason & Thaiwanda – Mercy

We did a feature on Sliqe’s win at the SAMA awards last week, which was the main inspiration behind this song making it to our playlist of the week…. and it’s been on repeat mode ever since.
