My name is Abongwe Qokela. The internet knows me as @iamabongwe (people even walk up to me in public and be like “Hey, IamAbongwe”). I’m a 9-5 hero and a lifestyle blogger. I love an artistic way of shooting clothes hence my blog, Disco Stray Jacket is the way it is. I’m not stylish by a long shot but I know what works for me and my slightly quirky look. 

A typical week in my life looks like:

Monday

This is my on-the-grind, working-girl outfit. Today I’m wearing all black in the office and the bright coloured scarf adds that element of fun and drama.

Tuesday

Today I’m wearing my dinner-with-the-girls outfit.  The coat is my personal fave clothing item this winter (I probably wear it with everything), the gold skirt brings out that pop of fun and colour.

Wednesday 

This outfit is one of my “you are invited to the launch of” kind of ensemble. Fun, quirky with a bit of something extra.

Thursday 

I love this outfit as it works best in terms of transition from work-wear to First-Thursday-Night-Market-chic outfit. I can get away with this at work and the coat gives it enough drama for braving the galleries and outside pavement conversation. (A simple black dress is a winner)

Friday 

This is my casual Friday work outfit which easily translates into an after-work-drinks-with-girls or with that special friend ensemble.
