Style Diary: Toyosi from STYLEBYTOYOC

Hi! My name is Toyosi Clay, a Nigerian stylist and fashion blogger behind STYLEBYTOYOC. I officially started blogging this year February to be exact and I am grateful for how far I have come and the beautiful journey that lies ahead. I started this journey because I love fashion and wanted to connect with every woman (18-30) using my fun personality, unique style and help them put pieces together. I would describe my style as simple, chic and classy.

I try to connect my audience with various designers (African and others) and give outfit inspirations. Regardless of whatever you wear, designer or not, it’s your confidence that’s key. My advice for anyone reading this is “Your Gift will bring you before Kings, just believe in yourself and be consistent”.

I will be sharing my “7 DAY STYLE OUTFIT INSPIRATION”.

Work week begins after enjoying the weekend and one needs that outfit that can make you stand-out and be confident… and that is this minimalist look below.

Tip: You can never go wrong with black and white and it always makes a statement.

I love bright colours so it’s my BRIGHT BOLD look day.

Tip: It’s great to have the basic colours but once in a while you can throw bright colours in the mix. I am wearing the Toyo Set (named after me) by dress maker, Fablanebyderin

Chic and Classy Look day! I am wearing a Lola Baej white outfit and I added a pop of colour (shoes) to complete the outfit.

Denim Fever Day! This is a casual look and the great thing about denim is that you can pair it with anything. You can always play with the colour of shoes/sneakers. I decided to pair the look with grey Public Desire sandals, a Maju bag and DAPMOD shades.

I am wearing Ayaba shift dress. Honestly, there are days when I feel fat and shift dresses come to my rescue and are comfortable. So if you experience one of those days, you’ve got a solution {wink}

In Lagos, Nigeria, almost every Saturday, there is a wedding happening. I like to keep it simple and classy. I am wearing a jumpsuit by Titi Belo and love the big sleeves.

Tip: When attending a wedding, you don’t always have to wear dresses, try switching it up a bit.

After church, I’m either having an informal meeting with business associates or spending time with loved ones. This is my laid-back look. Palazzo pants are one of the most comfortable pieces I own and you can always style it with a shirt or cami.

Have a fabulous day
