On the 9th of November, Sandton Convention Centre opened its doors, welcoming whisky enthusiasts for the annual Whisky Live Festival. The Maverick whisky makers of Dufftown, Glenfiddich, introduced two new variants from the Experimental Series to the South African market, a new range that combines the brand’s passion for pushing Scotch whisky boundaries and collaborating with trailblazers beyond the world of whisky.
The first variant is the Glenfiddich IPA the world’s first single malt Scotch whisky finished in India Pale Ale (IPA) craft beer casks. Project XX is the result of 20 whisky experts and Glenfiddich’s Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, who developed one unexpected, extraordinary whisky by bringing together 20 very special single malts.
Their team of enthusiastic Brand Ambassadors offered festival goers a chance to sample variants from the World’s Most Award Winning single malt Scotch whisky.
Marketing Manager, Richard Brodrick commented saying: “This year we have gone far and beyond to make sure we deliver an unforgettable whisky tasting experience for our fans by introducing quality whisky variants that will appeal to both amateurs and long time whisky connoisseurs. What makes this particular festival special is the array of variants which have we have on display. We hope people will have a pleasure tasting the exciting offerings from Glenfiddich”.
