On Thursday night, 28 September Levi’s® celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the original denim jacket. Held at the Levi’s® pop-up Tailor Shop in trendy Braam, Johannesburg, the night was centered around customisation and guests got to create their own cocktails, build burgers as well as customise their favourite Levi’s® denim jacket with the help of the Tailor Shop tailors who were on hand to sew, rip, dye and patch.
Drawings of Didi, Lindi and DJ Sliqe done by talented illustrator Seth Pimental was displayed on the Tailor Shop wall alongside their customised jackets.
The pop-up Levi’s® Tailor Shop will be open to the public for another two weeks and all customisation done to any Levi’s® jacket will be free of charge. Levi’s® denim jackets are also available to purchase at the Tailor Shop for R599.00, but customers can also bring in their much loved and well-worn Levi’s® jackets for an update.
