NIROX Sculpture Park Celebrating Africa in the Cradle of Humankind

NIROX Foundation is collaborating with Hobacity and Gauteng Tourism to invite you to another sensory Sho’t Left experience – AfroSoul: Music in the Park at NIROX Sculpture Park on Sunday 6 May 2018AfroSoul music is born from Gospel, African Folk, RnB, Spirituals, and the general need to speak positivity to the people. The inaugural AfroSoul music concert will feature Vusi Nova, Kelly Khumalo, Brian Temba and Max-Hoba.

Spend the day with friends and family in the countryside, enjoying the music, food, art and nature. NIROX Sculpture Park’s lawns, forests, waterways and collection of contemporary art are 45-minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria, and 15-minutes from Lanseria Airport – the R540 being an especially enjoyable stretch of country road to drive or cycle.

The beginning of May ushers in Africa Month. It is also nearing the installation completion of the NIROX Winter 2018 Sculpture Exhibition NOT A SINGLE STORY, the title of which is inspired by the TED Talk given by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, positing that diversity strengthens rather than divides us. The exhibition is a collaboration with Wanås Konst sculpture park in Sweden, supported by the Swedish Post Code Foundation and The Swedish Institute.

AfroSoul gates open at 10h00 on Sunday 6 May. All ages are welcome. Tickets are available from

  • Adults: R330 online; R360 at the gate – subject to availability
  • Children under 12: R165 online; R180 at the gate
  • Infants 2 and under enter free of charge
  • 25% discount for pensioners & students with a valid student card

The exhibition runs until the end of July 2018 and the park will be open for various other concerts, picnics, talks and workshops over that time.
