Black Coffee’s Star Keeps Shining As He’s Set to Release a Movie

From being one of our successful music exports to now being an executive producer on upcoming local movie Matwetwe, Black Coffee’s star continues to shine even brighter. The movie is now at its peak as many South Africans cannot wait to see this tasty local production. Matwetwe was privately screened last year and will debut at cinemas this Friday, 25 January 2019.

The movie is a collaborative work of Kagiso Lediga who is the director, and Black Coffee who comes as the Executive Producer. The movie tells the story of Lefa and Papi, best friends and recent high school graduates, on the hustle of their young lives. Over the course of one action-packed New Years Eve in the iconic township of Atteridgeville, the boys try to score a huge deal, dodge a king pin gangster and his violent minions, get the girl and ultimately save their lives in this hilarious and sometimes very serious escapade.
