Actress and brand ambassador Nandi Mbatha debuted her runway walk at SA Men’s Fashion Week this weekend closing a show for QUITERIA who also debuted his brand new collection from Rainard Lux, a ready to wear collection. QUITERIA who showcased at S.A Men’s Fashion Week that took place at V&A Waterfront in Cape Town gave Nandi Mbatha a spotlight to close his show of which Mbatha’s showstopper mini dress was the talk of the town.
The monochrome collection that Nandi modelled a dress from QUITERIA explained as a collection that defines him as a black man in a society where everything is questionable and judged based on your colour.
“The Rainard Lux collection is inspired by transforming into being far beyond any human being imagination, I have been pulled far beyond underneath and realised the only rises and metaphor was for me to begin self-discovery,” said Quiteria Kekana founder and creative director of QUITERIA Atelier and Rainard Lux.
Nandi speaking about her runway debut she said as much as she is not your “normal‘ runway height girl she doesn’t feel any pressure, “I’ve had the privilege of having modelling jobs also with really tall skinny girls who fit the brief better than me, it never affected my confidence or my work” said Nandi.
Nandi Mbatha has been appointed to be one of QUITERIA Atelier’s ready to wear Rainard Lux ambassadors for 2020. About Nandi Mbatha
Nandi (22) plays a lead role of Simi on Mzansi Magic’s Iisthembiso and a brand ambassador for QUITERIA Atelier’s Rainard Lux.
Nandi was born in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal province, and at the moment, Nandi Mbatha age is 22 years. The actress is into education and studied Political Science and a year afterwards, she dumped the course for a career in acting and modelling.
