DJ Sabby Receives First Ever SAFTA Nomination for Clash of the Choirs

Award-winning Radio, Television and Media Personality DJ Sabby, born Sabelo Mtshali, has added yet another major moment to his career journey, with a recent South African Film and Television award nomination for his time as a host on DStv Mzansi Magic’s ‘Clash of the Choirs’, Season 4. The show has been nominated in the Best Competition Reality Show category.

DJ Sabby hosted the show alongside multi-disciplinary artist, Bontle Modiselle. Clash of the Choirs sees specially elected choirmasters assemble an amateur choir and prepare them to compete live before a national audience for South Africa’s best choir title.

Says DJ Sabby: “Season 4 of Clash of the Choirs was an incredible experience to be a part of. We explored more provinces in the country, unlike previous seasons, which was a game-changer compared to the original format. We’re witnessing 18 years of the SAFTAs this year and I am proud to be amongst all the other talented nominees.
