In collaboration with Keyes Art Mile, American Express proudly presents the Jacaranda Art Challenge 2024. Organized by Nedbank, the official issuer and acquirer of American Express cards in South Africa, this challenge celebrates art, culture, and creativity amid South Africa’s purple Jacaranda trees.
Emerging and seasoned South African illustrators, graphic artists, and designers are invited to “count down” to Jacaranda season by creating artworks that capture the essence of this iconic bloom. The submission deadline is 28 October 2024 via the official platform, where artists are encouraged to submit bold, original vector-based designs.
Nedbank will award the winning artist a R20,000 grand prize. The winning design will become a large-scale vinyl mural on Keyes Art Mile’s Trumpet building. The mural’s unveiling will be on 7 November 2024 at Keyes Art Night, a highly anticipated monthly art event that brings together art lovers, the public, and the creative community for an evening of culture, connection, and inspiration.
