When winning is the only way forward, will Siya ‘Bolt’ Gumede (Thandolwethu Zondi) rise to the challenge or let his circumstances dictate his fate? Today, Netflix released the electrifying trailer for GO!, a high-stakes, high-risk six-part series set to premiere globally on 21 March 2025. Siya Gumede, better known as ‘Bolt’ in the bustling inner-city streets of Hillbrow has always relied on his speed to get ahead, both in competition and in life, racing against his peers for cash and clout, all while caring for his sickly mother (Dawn Thandeka King) under the watchful gaze of his criminal brother, Shuffle (Wiseman Mncube). Bolt’s world takes an unexpected turn when he’s offered a coveted running scholarship from Coach Arendse (Brendon Daniels) to the prestigious St. Jude’s private school, an opportunity that could change his future forever.
Bolt’s fresh start is overshadowed by his past when a night of adolescent antics results in life-altering consequences. His best friend, Mandla (Wonder Ndlovu), and girlfriend, Nthabi (Shalate Sekhabi), are left to grapple with the repercussions and question everything they once believed about him. As Bolt navigates his new life, battling mental anguish and entitled peers at his prestigious school (Ntobeko Sishi, Daanyaal Ally, Aidia De Meyer) he finds unexpected support from some unlikely sources, Dr Khumalo (Vusi Kunene), Mrs Khumalo (Katlego Danke) and their daughter, Gabi (Mamodibe Ramodibe).
