South African fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee marks a defining milestone with the opening of his first retail boutique at the Winifred Mandela Precinct (Nicolway Shopping Centre) in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The new destination translates the Gert-Johan Coetzee visual universe into a permanent physical retail environment, bringing together exceptional craftsmanship, sculptural interior design, and modern luxury.
Conceived as an intimate expression of the brand, the boutique moves beyond traditional retail to showcase an evolving and curated collection of garments and accessories from the Gert-Johan Coetzee universe. For the first time, the public can step directly into a retail store to shop Gert-Johan Coetzee, while also having the opportunity to book private shopping appointments for a personalised, undivided experience.
“When creating a space meant to represent permanence and craftsmanship, choosing Interslab to execute our surface vision was a natural choice,” says Gert-Johan Coetzee. “Their materials provide the exact strength, elegance, and tactile luxury this environment required.”

“We are proud to stand behind the Gert-Johan Coetzee boutique as the Official Surface Partner,” says Bridgitte van der Merwe, Managing Director at Interslab. “Bringing our premium stone into a couture retail environment aligns seamlessly with our ‘Crafting Extraordinary’ platform. This launch marks the beginning of an exciting, long-term creative partnership.”
