The Amapiano Producer, DJ and Artist Unveils the Focus Track from His Debut Solo EP XVI’s Diary

South African Amapiano producer, DJ and artist NTSAKO XVI enters a defining new chapter with the release of his debut solo EP, XVI’s Diary, led by the infectious new single “Kanjalo Kanjalo”, featuring Scotts and Uncool MC.

Following the momentum of his 2026 breakout hit “NGEKE”, NTSAKO XVI is stepping further into his identity as a solo artist, using XVI’s Diary to give listeners a closer look into his sound, influences and creative evolution.

At the heart of the project, “Kanjalo Kanjalo” brings together energetic Amapiano production, dynamic performances and the distinct chemistry of three voices. The result is an immediate and catchy record designed for movement, while showcasing the percussive and energetic sound that has become synonymous with NTSAKO XVI.

The collaboration with Scotts and Uncool MC gives the track its own character, with both artists bringing their individual energy and flavour to the record, while NTSAKO XVI remains firmly at the centre of the track. More than simply a dance record, “Kanjalo Kanjalo” represents the energy of NTSAKO XVI’s next chapter — confident, youthful and deeply rooted in the sounds that have shaped his journey.

With more than 49 million streams across his catalogue, NTSAKO XVI has established himself within South Africa’s dance music ecosystem, evolving from a producer and instrumental artist into a multifaceted creative through collaborations, vocal-led records and his own releases.

His 2026 collaboration “NGEKE”, featuring Shaun 101, Ch’cco, Scotts Maphuma and Uncool MC, further expanded his reach, generating more than 900,000 TikTok creations and introducing the Nyakanyaka creative era. The release of XVI’s Diary builds on that momentum while introducing a more personal side of NTSAKO XVI’s artistry. The project brings together the sounds, collaborations and influences that have shaped his journey, with a greater focus on his identity as an artist.

“This isn’t just an EP. It’s a chapter of my life, documented in sound. Thank you to everyone who’s been listening, supporting, and growing with me. Now it’s your turn to open the diary”. – NTSAKO XVI

As NTSAKO XVI continues to carve out his own lane across Amapiano, electronic music, Gqom and South African club culture, “Kanjalo Kanjalo” opens the door to a new era — one defined by movement, collaboration and an artist coming fully into his own. Listen HERE.
