AFI Fastrack is an initiative by Africa Fashion International, created with the primary intention of incubating the careers of young, exceptionally talented and ambitious designers, who innately have the potential to become household names in the local and international fashion sphere, and develop commercially sustainable fashion businesses.
This year, AFI Fastrack engaged with local celebrities such as DJ Zinhle, Minnie Dlamini as well as DJ Tira to collaborate with its young finalists.
Tayla Nguskos and Minnie Dlamini’s Collection:
Fit models lined the runway in athletic poses leaving little doubt about the collection’s theme. Tayla and Minnie allied to create a collection that best complemented each one’s sartorial and design preferences.
Chesney Williams and DJ Zinhle’s Collection:
The dynamic pair offered a cool blue collar feel, sheer and mesh tops, slim-fit pants and sleek panama hats – which gave the collection a heavy dose of the contemporary and hip aesthetic.
Buda Malete and DJ Tira’s Collection:
The collection seamlessly inhabited the personalities of both DJ Tira and Buda
