And the 2023 Grammy Nominees Are…

The Recording Academy has announced the nominees for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, taking place on February 5, 2023, in Los Angeles, California. This year, the Grammys will add a number of new categories including Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, Best Alternative Music Performance, and Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media.

Some of pop’s biggest names declined to submit their music to this year’s Grammy Awards. The Weeknd, who released Dawn FM this year, continued his boycott of the show after his 2020 project After Hours was not nominated in any category. Drake also did not submit his new album Honestly, Nevermind for consideration, one year after withdrawing his nominees for Best Rap Album (Certified Lover Boy) and Best Rap Performance (“Way 2 Sexy”).
