This August, in honour of Women’s Month, Mzansi Magic Music proudly celebrates the fierce, feminine forces that continue to shape the sound of our time. Her Story returns with a brand new season — a tribute to the women who dared to be different, who refused to shrink, and who rewrote the rules of music on their own terms.

Premiering Sunday, 17 August at 11:00, Her Story is more than a show – it’s a love letter to the bold, the brilliant, and the unapologetically powerful women of South African music.

From Amanda Black’s soul-stirring anthems to Zoe Modiga‘s fearless fusion of sound, Bucie‘s velvet voice that defined an era, to Lady Zamar’s bold reinvention –  these women didn’t just make music; they made history. They embodied strength in softness, beauty in defiance, and power in authenticity. These are not just musicians –  they are visionaries.
