Inverroche Welcomes Nomzamo Mbatha as Cultural Curator

In a partnership that honours African luxury and a deep respect for nature, Nomzamo brings her vision to the world of Inverroche, a gin born from South Africa’s Cape Floral Kingdom and crafted for a global stage. Since its founding, Inverroche has been more than a gin. It is a family-grown story of craftsmanship, innovation, and devotion to nature and community. Now, through Nomzamo’s voice and perspective, the brand deepens its role in defining how African luxury shows up in culture, at home and on international soil.

To be a Cultural Curator for Inverroche is not to simply represent the brand but to help shape how it is experienced,” says Mbatha. “It’s about telling the Inverroche story, and making a meaningful contribution to product, design and cultural moments in a way that honours conscious luxury.”

As an actress, humanitarian, and global storyteller, Nomzamo embodies a new generation of cultural forces who carry African heritage onto the world stage. Her collaboration with Inverroche is one with intention, authenticity, and is rooted in values both she and the brand share.

Guided by a philosophy of giving back more than it takes, Inverroche’s approach to hand-crafted gin prioritises the natural process of distilling with an investment in its people. Mbatha, also known for her impact-driven work, resonates with this deeply. “Luxury and intentionality shouldn’t exist in silos,” she reflects. “True authenticity in luxury comes from honouring where you come from and celebrating your heritage.”

As Cultural Curator, Mbatha will work together with the brand to deliver experiences, collaborations, and cultural conversations that reflect Inverroche’s pioneering spirit and its place amongst leading luxury brands.

Nomzamo’s role at Inverroche reflects our intention to be seen for the revolutionary brand that we are,” says Damien Batteux, Global Brand Director for Inverroche at Pernod Ricard Africa. “For too long we have been quietly crafting an exceptional, luxury gin. It’s high time we give Inverroche a voice, and who better to do that than our very own Nomzamo.”
