Lwah Ndlunkulu Release Highly Anticipated Sophomore Album, Amaciko,

Following the groundbreaking success of her multi-award-winning debut album Imizwa, Afro-pop and Urban Maskhandi sensation Lwah Ndlunkulu has officially released her highly anticipated sophomore album, Amaciko, today under Inkabi Records. The album’s release is complemented by the launch of her new entrepreneurial ventures, Amaciko Foods and Amaciko Production.

Amaciko, a 12-track masterpiece, is a tribute to the “custodians of art and culture.” The title reflects Lwah’s deep-rooted connection to her heritage, a theme that extends beyond music into her new business initiatives. With this album, she masterfully fuses soulful Afro-pop melodies with rich, traditional Zulu instrumentation and rhythms in the genre she and her team proudly call Urban Maskhandi.

“Amaciko is more than an album; it’s the birth of a new chapter that encompasses my art and my spirit of enterprise. It is my love letter to the people, to my ancestors, and to every woman who carries the weight of culture and still dares to be modern and build an empire,” says Lwah Ndlunkulu. “The name ‘Amaciko’ honours the skilled artisans and custodians of our culture, which is what I aim to be through my music with Amaciko production, and through the authentic tastes we will bring with Amaciko Foods.”

The album was previewed at two exclusive listening sessions that captured the heart of her journey. The first was held in her hometown at the Playhouse in Durban on September 30th, a profoundly emotional evening where her grandmother was in attendance, showing her immense love and support, grounding the album in its family and cultural origins. This is followed by a session at Propstar in Johannesburg on October 2nd, bringing her new sound to the heart of the nation’s urban music scene. Stream the new album HERE.
