Musical genius, Big Star, received three nods from the 2017 South African Hip Hop Awards (#SAHHA2017) today which was announced at the #SAHHA2017 press conference this morning. Big Star received acknowledgements in the categories Best Remix, Mixtape Of The Year (TELLASCOPE) and Freshman Of The Year(NEWCOMER).

Big Star’s nominations come as no surprise. His accolades over the past 12 months have positioned him as an artist to be reckoned with in the South African Hip Hop scene as well as broader urban market. “I’m humbled by the recognition given to me by #SAHHA2017. A lot of work went into my debut Mixtape/EP TELLASCOPE and all the music I released this year. It’s great that the work has been noticed. 3 nods? Thank you South Africa,” expresses Big Star.
