5 Tracks You Need In Your Life This Week

I feel so great about this week, don’t really know why but I just have a feeling that this is going to be an awesome week. So, my track selection consists of all those feel-good songs, channelling positive energy all the way throughout the end of the week. So, if you’re feeling down or have a horrible case of the Monday blues, just press play and enjoy.

Here are my five favourite tracks this week, in no particular order.

  1. Bon Iver and Kanye – Friends

This song is magical, these boys really know how to bring it. But then again, Bon Iver and Kanye in one track means POWER! The video is also amazing, and the way these white boys dance is just too adorable. Check it out below and enjoy.

2. Louie Vega feat Bucie – Angels Are Watching Me

Bucie. Bucie. Bucie! I could never get tired of listening to this woman’s voice, she is one helluva talented soul. I know this song is quiet old, but whenever it comes on on the radio it just gives me major positive and spiritual vibes. Like some church hymn that speaks to your soul (What do I know about church hymns though?!)

3. DJ Switch – Now or Never

I actually heard the song on the radio for the first time last week Friday, and then on Saturday as I was chilling at home catching up on TV when the video popped up. I fell in love with the song when I fist heard it on the radio but watching the video made me fall even harder. It’s got that Eminem’s 8 Mile rap-battle-scene from the movie and it’s hella LIT! It gave me hope for SA rap and Hip Hop in general. We have major talent in this country and DJ Switch and this beat just elevated the level of talent amongst some of our greatest MC’s in the country.

4. Black Coffee feat Mque – Come With Me

This is my favourite dance song at the moment, and no matter if I’m at the office, in the car or at home, I have to do a young twalatsa whenever it comes on {LOL}

5. Rihanna – Higher

I feel like this is the most underrated song on Ririh’s Anti album. I can’t wait to have a bae so that I can dedicate this song to.
