The House of Vans is where creative expression lives. It’s a place where imagination lets loose over skate obstacles, art installations, workshops and concert stages, inspiring every person who runs, rolls, or stomps through its door.
Following the success of House of Vans Cape Town in March, Vans are extremely excited to announce the stellar line-up of musical talent, artists and skaters who’ll be helping celebrate 50 Years “Off The Wall” which takes place from 25th August in Johannesburg.
The venue – 94 Juta Street, Braamfontein will be transformed into a creative space, skate park and music venue. Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the House of Vans experience over a three day period, finishing on 27th August.

Throughout the event, the House of Vans gallery space will host commissioned art pieces from Black Koki, Danielle Clough and more. Showcasing heritage items from Vans 50 year history, the space will feature The Story of Vans campaign. Released in March 2016, the campaign puts a spotlight on Vans 50 years of enabling creative expression through the brand’s cultural pillars.
Thursday 25: opening night, will be hosted by Stilo Magolide, with music acts from Mvelo, Ms. Cosmo, Kid Fonque and DJ Maphorisa. Doors open at 19h00 ‘til late.
Friday 26: welcomes music acts from the Vans partnership with Psych Night, opening with Golden Yolk and followed by The Tazers, Soul Gems and Bye Beneco. Friday’s headline acts kick off at 22h00 with The Plastics, and ending off with The Make-Overs.
Saturday 27: gets off to an early start with a skate event in partnership with Baseline Skate Shop at 13h00. DJ sets kick off at 15h00 with live music acts commencing from 20h30 with, Youngsta, Stilo Magolide, Speedsta and Sean Kross.
Be a part of the festivities by participating in tote bag customisation, mug printing, photo booth and playing the Vans claw machine. There will be House of Vans merchandise available as well as food and drink on sale.
